Summary

In today’s meeting appointment of the Committee Chairperson was scheduled. Director Legal Affairs, Aishath Shifa presided over the selection process.

Nilandhoo Constituency Member Fathimath Saudha proposed to elect West Maafannu Member Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim as the Chairperson of the Committee. It was seconded by Kaashidhoo Constituency Member Munthazim Ibrahim.

The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.


Next, Naifaru Constituency Member Yaaseen Abdulla proposed to elect Kaashidhoo Constituency Member Munthazim Ibrahim as the Vice Chairperson of the Committee. It was seconded by Komandoo Constituency Member Mohamed Ibrahim

The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.


Lastly, Nilandhoo Constituency Fathimath Saudha proposed to amend Section 43 (a) of the Zakath Bill. This proposal was seconded by Komandoo Constituency Member Mohamed Ibrahim The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
