Summary

In this meeting, South Maafannu Constituency Member Abdulla Rifau proposed to change the deadline for the completion of the review of the issue of the appointment of Ahmed Sareer, M. West Side, as the non-resident Ambassador to Oman and the appointment of Mohamed Husaain Shareef, M. Kothanmaage, as the non-resident Ambassador to Armenia, to 18th February 2026, it was seconded by South Fuvahmulah Constituency Member Ibrahim Hussain. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.


Then, Hinnavaru Constituency Member Mohamed Abdul Rahmaan proposed to appoint Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, Ma. Athamaa Villa as the non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba, Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, Benhaage, Gdh. Gadhdhoo as the non-resident Ambassador to Federative Republic of Brazil and Shiruzimath Sameer, M. Zeenaa as the non-resident Ambassador to United Mexican States, in accordance with Article 115(d) of the Constitution and Article 14 of Act No. 20/2021 (The Maldives Foreign Services Act). This proposal was seconded by Maradhoo Constituency Member Ahmed Didi and passed unanimously by the members present.
