Summary
In this meeting, South Maafannu Constituency Member Abdulla Rifau proposed to appoint Aminath Shabeena, H. Mistylodge, as the non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Malta, in accordance with Article 115(d) of the Constitution and Article 14 of Act No. 20/2021 (The Maldives Foreign Services Act). This proposal was seconded by Kendhikulhudhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Afoo Hamid. The proposal was passed unanimously by the members present.
Then, North Kulhudhuffushi Constituency Member Mohamed Dhaawoodh proposed to appoint Ahmed Sareer, M. Westside as the non-resident Ambassador to Oman, in accordance with Article 115(d) of the Constitution and Article 14 of Act No. 20/2021 (The Maldives Foreign Services Act). This was seconded by North Mahchangoalhi Constituency Member Ibrahim Muhammadh and passed unanimously by the members present.
Lastly, South Maafannu Constituency Member Abdulla Rifau proposed to appoint the current Ambassador to the United Emirates, Mohamed Shareef, M. Kothanmaage, as the non-resident Ambassador to Armenia, in accordance with Article 115(d) of the Constitution and Article 14 of Act No. 20/2021 (The Maldives Foreign Services Act). This proposal was seconded by Vilingilli Constituency Member Azim Abdul Azeez and was passed unanimously by the members present.
