Lastly, the committee discussed opening the Bill on Amendment to the Employment Act (2/2008) for public commenting and seeking input from relevant stakeholders. MP Hussain Sameer of Thoddoo Constituency proposed, and MP Azim Abdul Azeez of Vilingili Constituency seconded to give a duration of 10 days for public comments and submissions from relevant stakeholders. The motion was passed unanimously by the members present at the time of voting.
