Summary

In today’s meeting, the committee began reviewing the e-petitions submitted to the committee. Concerning the “Petition submitted regarding the issue of wearing revealing clothing such as bikinis in public places”, Madaveli Constituency Member Mohamed Shameez proposed to clarify information from the relevant state institutions. This proposal was seconded by Dhidhdhoo Constituency Member Abdul Latheef Mohamed, and was passed unanimously by the members present at the time of voting.


Next, regarding the petition on “Maintaining the environment and tranquility of Vilimale'”, Vaikaradhoo Constituency Member Hussain Ziyad proposed to clarify the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation's plans regarding points 6, 7, and 8 of the solutions requested in the petition and to clarify the policies and procedures currently being followed by the Malé City Council regarding the remaining points.
