Summary

In this meeting committee discussed the Bill on amendment to the Tax Administration Act (No. 3/2010). In this regard, South Hithadhoo constituency member Ibrahim Nazil proposed to meet with the Attorney General's Office to clarify the amendments proposed by relevant authorities, while North Feydhoo constituency member Ismail Nizar seconded it.


Further in this committee discussed letter sent by North Galolhu constituency member Mohamed Ibrahim, to address the difficulties faced by Maldivians in paying Tourism Goods and Services Tax (GST) in US dollars. In this regard Faresmaathodaa constituency member Ashraf Rasheed proposed to seek the opinion of the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) on the issue, which was seconded by Kanditheemu constituency member Ameen Faisal.
