Summary
In today's meeting, discussions were held regarding a matter submitted by the Secretariat of the Maalhosmadulu Dhekunuburi (Baa Atoll) Kihaadhoo Council, stating that the budget allocated to the council for the year 2026 is less than the expenditure required solely for staff salaries and allowances following the changes brought to the National Pay Framework.
In this regard, as this issue and the two other items on the agenda are matters submitted to the committee concerning amendments made to the "National Pay Framework" established under Act No. 11/2016 (National Pay Policy Act), Kelaa Constituency member Abdulla Shareef proposed to meet with the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises and the National Pay Commission after obtaining the relevant information in writing.
