Summary
In this meeting, the committee discussed about a deadline for the completion of Bill on Amendment to the Maldives Fisheries Act (No. 14/2019), and about how to proceed with the bill. In this regard, North Thinadhoo constituency member Saudhulla Hilmee proposed to set 30th June 2026 as a deadline to complete the committee works of the bill, to seek public comments for the bill and to get comments in writing from relevant stakeholders; and it was seconded by Faresmaathodaa constituency member Ashraf Rasheed. Further in this meeting, the committee discussed to extend the deadline for the Bill on amendment to the Tax Administration Act (No. 3/2010). North Thinadhoo constituency member Saudhulla Hilmee proposed to extend the deadline to 30th June 2026 while North Feydhoo constituency member Ismail Nizar seconded it. Members present at the time of the voting unanimously passed this proposal.
