Summary
In this meeting, committee discussed the letter sent by North Galolhu constituency member Mohamed Ibrahim, to address the difficulties faced by Maldivians in paying Tourism Goods and Services Tax (GST) in US dollars. Although a written opinion on the matter had already been received from Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA), Kendhoo constituency member Mauroof Zakir, proposed to meet with officials of MIRA to seek further clarification and address any additional concerns. This proposal was seconded by North Feydhoo constituency member Ismail Nizar. Members present at the time of the voting unanimously passed this proposal.
