Summary
In today's meeting, the committee discussed the Compliance Audit of Addu City Council for the year 2022 and 2023 and financial audit for the year 2024. The issues highlighted in the council's audit report and the comments from the council were discussed. As proposed by Central Hithadhoo Constituency member Ahmed Azaan Marzooq and seconded by Funadhoo Constituency member Mohamed Mamdooh, the committee decided to request the Maldives Police Service to investigate the issues highlighted in the audit and update the committee on the investigation, and to request the Local Government Authority (LGA) to conduct an inquiry of council's violations of policies.
