Summary
In today’s meeting, the Committee discussed a matter submitted by North Galolhu Constituency Member Mohamed Ibrahim requesting clarification regarding the fire incident that occurred on 12 March 2026 at an accommodation block in Adh. Dhigurah, in which five expatriate workers lost their lives.
Accordingly, during the opportunity opened to decide on this matter, based on the information gathered from the South Ari Atoll Dhigurah Council Office, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology, Felidhoo Constituency Member Adam Zahir proposed to send a written response to the submitter as sufficient information had been obtained to respond. This proposal was seconded by Dhidhdhoo Constituency Member Abdul Latheef Mohamed.HHh
