Summary
In today’s meeting, the committee reviewed some of the reports submitted by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) in compliance with Article 33 (a) of the Judicial Service Commission Act. The mandate of the committee in reviewing reports submitted by JSC is to ensure that the process was followed in the investigation as required in the Act. In this meeting, the committee reviewed the following reports:
- Judicial Service Commission No.: D-TC203/TF10/2024/1 Report;
- Judicial Service Commission No.: D-TC255/CN/2026/01 Report;
- Judicial Service Commission No.: D-TC214/CN/2025/9 Report;
- Judicial Service Commission No.: D-TC273/CN/2026/8 Report;
- Judicial Service Commission No.: D-TC268/CN/2026/9 Report.
After reviewing the reports, as the process was followed in No.: D-TC203/TF10/2024/1 Report and since the Judicial Service Commission decided not to continue the investigation of the issues in the following reports (No.: D-TC255/CN/2026/01 Report, No.: D-TC214/CN/2025/9 Report, No.: D-TC273/CN/2026/8 Report, and No.: D-TC268/CN/2026/9 Report), South Hithadhoo Constituency Member Ibrahim Nazil proposed filing the reports. This proposal was seconded by North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar.

Secondly, committee decided the deadline for the following bills as 15 October 2026.
