Summary
In today’s meeting, the committee continued its work on reviewing the petitions submitted to the committee. First, before further discussions on the "Petition submitted regarding the prolonged and unresolved housing issue related to the K-Park Residences project," Vaikaradhoo Constituency Member Hussain Ziyadh proposed to send another letter to the Housing Committee to check the progress of the "Resolution submitted to ascertain the views of the Members of Parliament concerning the prolonged and unresolved issues faced in relation to the housing project started in Hulhumalé under the name of K-Park Residence," because the details regarding the Housing Committee's work on this resolution have not yet been received. This was seconded by Dhidhdhoo Constituency Member Abdul Latheef Mohamed and passed unanimously by the members present and participating in the vote.
Following that, concerning the "Petition submitted to the People's Majlis to share the difficulties and concerns faced by persons with disabilities," Ungoofaaru Constituency Member Ibrahim Shifaz proposed to summon the petitioner to clarify further information, after obtaining relevant information from the concerned authorities and further reviewing the petition. This was seconded by Dhidhdhoo Constituency Member Abdul Latheef Mohamed and passed unanimously by the members present at the committee.
Furthermore, regarding the petition "Denial of Promotions Due to Taking Maternity Leave," Hithadhoo Medhu Constituency Member Ahmed Azaan Marzooq proposed to share the information provided to the committee by the officials of the Civil Service Commission with the petitioner, formally conclude the work on the petition, and notify the petitioner accordingly. This was seconded by Madaveli Constituency Member Mohamed Shameez and passed unanimously by the members present at the committee.
