Summary
In today’s meeting, the committee proceeded with the review of the Cybersecurity Bill.
In this regard, Member for Hulhumalé North Constituency Hussain Shareef proposed to amend the entire bill to include Dhivehi terminology where applicable, and in cases where using a Dhivehi term might lead to conflicting meanings or where an English term is strictly necessary, to note the English term within brackets. This proposal was seconded by Member for Henveiru South Constituency Hussain Imran Latheef. Upon calling for a vote, the motion was passed unanimously by the members present and voting.
Following this, the committee reviewed the bill from Article 1 (Section 1) up to Article 30 (Section 30).
