Summary
In today’s meeting, committee discussed the letter received from the law students and the letter received from North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar regarding the Second Amendment to the "Minimum Standards on Entry Criteria, Prescribed Learning Outcomes and Statement of Prescribed Knowledge for Qualifying Law Degrees". Both letters highlight a lot of concerns regarding the 2nd amendment, after discussing these issues within the committee two proposals were made.
Faresmaathoda Constituency Member Ashraf Rasheed proposed to send a letter to the Maldives Bar Council to clarify the matter in more detail as to the reason for the 2nd amendment. And after we get the information from Maldives Bar Council, then meet with the related institutions related to this matter.
This proposal was seconded by North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar.
The proposal was unanimously passed by the members present in the committee.

The second proposal was submitted by Kendhoo Constituency Member Mauroof Zakir, requesting the following institutions to be included in the meeting.
1. Bar Council of Maldives
2. Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Skills Development
3. Maldives Qualification Authority
4. Law Students' Union
The proposal was seconded by South Hithadhoo Constituency Member Ibrahim Nazil.
The proposal was unanimously passed by the members present in the committee.
