Summary

In this meeting, the committee reviewed the Bill on amendment to the Tax Administration Act (No. 3/2010). North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar and Faresmaathodaa Constituency Member Ashraf Rasheed proposed amendments to the bill. Thinadhoo constituency member Saudhulla Hilmee proposed to pass amendments as it was proposed and it was seconded by Kendhikulhudhoo constituency member Mohamed Afoo Hamid. Members present at the time of the voting unanimously passed this proposal.

 

North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar proposed to nullify committee’s The Committee’s decision taken on the 3rd meeting of 2026 held on 15th April 2026 to meet with Attorney General’s Office officials regarding the amendments proposed to the Bill on amendment to the Tax Administration Act (No. 3/2010) as all amendments were received in writing; and it was seconded Kendhikulhudhoo constituency member Mohamed Afoo Hamid. Members present at the time of the voting unanimously passed this proposal.

 

After that North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar proposed to pass the bill along with the amendments passed by the committee; and it was seconded by Kendhikulhudhoo constituency member Mohamed Afoo Hamid. Members present at the time of the voting unanimously passed this proposal.



Further in this meeting, the committee reviewed Bill on Amendment to the Maldives Fisheries Act (No. 14/2019). North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar proposed amendments to the bill. Thinadhoo constituency member Saudhulla Hilmee proposed to pass amendments as it was proposed and it was seconded by Faresmaathodaa Constituency Member Ashraf Rasheed. Members present at the time of the voting unanimously passed this proposal.

 

After that North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar proposed to pass the bill again along with the amendments passed by the committee; and it was seconded by Faresmaathodaa Constituency Member Ashraf Rasheed. Members present at the time of the voting unanimously passed this proposal.
