Committee Meeting - People's Majlis of Maldives

Summary

In this meeting, the committee reviewed the pending works of the Committee. First, the members of the Committee reviewed the letter received regarding the Resolution passed in the 152^nd Assembly of the Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU) focusing on the theme “Nurturing hope, securing peace and ensuring justice for future generations”. The Committee was required to share information regarding the work conducted or planned to be conducted on the oversight of the institutions included in the Committee’s mandate. The members reviewed and discussed the information included in the draft letter.

The Committee then discussed how it would proceed with reviewing the 2025 annual reports submitted by the institutions. It was discussed that the committee would begin reviewing the annual reports when the 3^rd Term of 2026 begins.
