Summary
In this meeting the committee discussed about deadline for completion of review of the matter referred by the President for the appointment of a person to the post of Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation in accordance with Section 8(a) of Tax Administration Act (No. 3/2010) and how to proceed with the issue. In this regard, North Central Mahchangolhi constituency member Ahmed Zameer proposed to set the deadline for the committee to complete its work on this matter as 20th October 2026, deadline to submit public complaints for the candidates as 11th October 2026 and to interview candidates meeting the qualifications for the post on 12th October 2026. This proposal was seconded by Funadhoo constituency member Mohamed Mamdhooh. Members present at the time of the voting unanimously passed this proposal.
