Summary
The committee reviewed the matter referred by the President seeking parliamentary approval of the People's Majlis for the Maldives to accede to the 'Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities' and to submit the Instrument of Accession to the protocol's depository. Member for the North Mahchangolhi Constituency Ibrahim Mohamed proposed to give parliamentary approval for the matter. This was seconded by Member for the South Fuvahmulah Constituency Ibrahim Hussain and was unanimously passed by the members present and voting.
