Committee Meeting - People's Majlis of Maldives

Summary

During today’s committee meeting, representatives from the National Integrity Commission (NIC) and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) appeared before the committee and presented a summary of their 2025 Annual report, which was shared in advance as requested by the committee. These presentations were carried out to facilitate the committee's review of the 2025 annual reports submitted to the committee.

As the first item on today’s agenda, a team of representatives from the National Integrity Commission (NIC) appeared before the committee and delivered a presentation prepared based on the Key Performance Indicators previously shared by the committee. They also answered the committee members’ questions on the contents of the presentation and their work.

The second item on the agenda was the summary presentation of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)'s 2025 Annual Report. A team from the commission appeared before the committee to deliver a presentation based on the Key Performance Indicators shared by the committee. After delivering the presentation, ACC’s team also answered the committee members’ questions on the commission’s work and the challenges they face in carrying out their responsibilities.

The Committee Chair also requested the Anti-Corruption Commission to prepare and submit a detailed paper elaboration on the specific challenges highlighted in their presentation.
