The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Maldives, H.E. Kohona Walawwe Nimal Dharmakeerthi Karunaratne, paid a courtesy call today on Hon. President Mohamed Nasheed, MP, Speaker of the People’s Majlis. During the meeting held at the People’s Majlis, the Speaker highlighted the close and friendly relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka. He expressed appreciation to the Sri Lankan Government for their continued assistance in the development of Maldives, and assured his commitment to increasing cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador gave his commitment to increasing cooperation between Sri Lanka and the Maldives and expressed gratitude to the Maldivian Government for its efforts and assistance in this regard.
