Hon. Ahmed Nazim, Deputy Speaker of the People’s Majlis, has departed to Karachi, Pakistan to participate in the 7th CPA Asia Regional Conference / 2nd Joint CPA Asia & South-East Asia Regional Conference, being held from February 3-7, 2026.
During the visit, Hon. Ahmed Nazim is scheduled to participate in the Regional Executive Committee meeting tomorrow, at which the People’s Majlis will officially assume the Chairmanship of the CPA Asia Region (68th to 71st Commonwealth Parliamentary Conferences).
The 7th CPA Asia Regional Conference / 2nd Joint CPA Asia & South-East Asia Regional Conference will be hosted by Provincial Assembly of Sindh, under the theme “Parliaments of the Future: Redefining Democracy through Trust, Inclusion, Innovation and Peace.”
Hon. Deputy Speaker’s delegation includes Hon. Ahmed Riyaz, MP for Thimarafushi Constituency and Ms. Aishath Eaman, Senior Foreign Relations Officer of the Secretariat.
