A delegation from the People’s Majlis has departed to South Africa, to participate in the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC).

The conference, hosted by the Parliament of South Africa and the CPA South Africa Branch, will take place from 13 to 19 September 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The 69th CPC will bring together parliamentarians and parliamentary officials from across the Commonwealth for discussions on matters relating to parliamentary democracy, governance, international law and other issues of shared interest.

The delegation from the People’s Majlis comprises Hon. Dr. Anara Naeem, MP for Huraa Constituency; Hon. Ahmed Nazim, MP for Dhiggaru Constituency and CPA Asia Regional Representative; Hon. Ahmed Azaan Marzooq, MP for Central Hithadhoo Constituency; Hon. Mohamed Ibrahim, MP for North Galolhu Constituency; Uz. Fathimath Niusha, Secretary General and Ms. Aishath Eeman, Senior Foreign Relations Officer of the Secretariat.
