MP for Huraa constituency, Hon. Dr. Anara Naeem, and MP for Thulhaadhoo constituency, Hon. Abdul Hannan Aboobakuru, participated in the Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (AFPPD) Annual Conference held in Bali, Indonesia.

During the conference, MP Abdul Hannan is scheduled to chair the session titled “Promotion of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment for Sustainable Development,” while MP Anara Naeem will deliver a speech on the topic “Impact of Climate Change on the Development of Societies and Sustainable Development.”

The Parliament of the Maldives has been a member of the Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (AFPPD) since 2007.
