In today's meeting, the agenda was appointment of the Committee chair and Deputy chair of the committee was scheduled as the newly elected members were allocated to the committees in the 2nd sitting of the 20th Majlis.

Director General Accounts Niusa Ahmed Naseer conducted the appointment of the Chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Committee

North Thinadhoo Constituency Member Saudulla Hilmy proposed to elect Fuvahmulah central constituency Member Ali Fazad as the Chair of the Committee. It was seconded by North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar. Below is the vote details of the appointment.

Vote: To elect Fuvahmulah central constituency Member Ali Fazad as the Chair of the Committee

Number of members present: 10

Voted Yes: 10

Voted against: 0

Abstain: 0

Required to Pass: 6

Result: Passed

Hence, Fuvahmulah central constituency Member Ali Fazad was elected as the Chair of the Committee.

As for the Deputy Chair of the Committee, 2 proposals were made for the post of deputy chair of Committee

1.Kendhoo Constituency Member Mauroof Zakir proposed South Hithadhoo Constituency Member Ibrahim Nazil as Deputy Chairperson of the Committee. It was seconded by Kanditheemu Constituency Member Ameen Faisal; and

2.North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizar proposed North Feydhoo Constituency Saudulla Hilmy as Deputy Chairperson of the Committee. It was seconded by Central Mahchangolhi Constituency Member Ahmed Xamyr.
