Summary

In this meeting, the Committee decided the working quorum of the Committee as 4 members. It was proposed by MP Hussain Sameer of Thoddoo Constituency and seconded by MP Abdul Hannan Aboobakuru of Thulhaadhoo Constituency. The Committee then decided that the voting quorum of the Committee should be at least 6 members. This was proposed by MP Azim Abdul Azeez of Vilingili Constituency and seconded by MP Saudhullah Hilmy of North Thinadhoo Constituency. This proposal was passed unanimously by the members attended and voted. The details of this vote are in the "Votes" section of this page.

 

Following that, the Committee decided on the working quorum for the meetings stipulated in Section 163 of the Rules of Procedure of the 19th Majlis. MP Azim Abdul Azeez of Vilingili Constituency proposed this quorum to be 6 members. This proposal was seconded by MP Ali Moosa of Hoarafushi Constituency, and was passed unanimously. The Committee also decided on the guidelines to follow on the issues submitted to the Committee for review that are other than the issues mentioned in Section 151 (a) of the Rules of Procedure of the 19th Majlis. MP Saudhullah Hilmy of North Thinadhoo Constituency proposed to proceed with the procedures followed during the 19th Majlis, and MP Hussain Hameed of Kudahuvadhoo Constituency seconded it. This proposal was passed unanimously by the members atteneded and voted. The details of this vote are in the "Votes" section of this page.



Lastly, the Committee deliberated on the procedure to review the annual reports. The Committee decided to share the annual reports with the Auditor General’s Office, and to request the Auditor General’s Office for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), before the Committee analyzes the reports. This was proposed by MP Saudhulla Hilmy of North Thinadhoo Constituency and was Seconded by MP Azim Abdul Azeez of Vilingili Constituency.
