Summary

The first of the items on the agenda for today's meeting was to provide information from the administrative table about the work done in the 19th Parliament and the committee's policies.The voting details are on “Votes” section of this page.


In today’s meeting the committee discussed and decided the working quorum of the committee as 4 members. This was proposed by Thoddoo constituency member Hussain Sameer and seconded by Thulhaadhoo constituency Abdul Hannan Aboobakuru. The voting details are on “Votes” section of this page.


Then, Committee discussed and decided the voting quorum should be at least 6 members attendance. This was proposed by Vilingili constituency member Azim Abdul Azeez and seconded by North Thinadhoo constituency member Saudhullah Hilmy. The voting details are on “Votes” section of this page.

 

Then, Committee decided that the working quorum for the summoned meeting mentioned under the article 163 of standing order of 19th Majlis. Vilingili constituency member Azim Abdul Azeez proposed this quorum to be 6 members and Haorafushi constituency member Ali Moosa seconded. The voting details are on “Votes” section of this page.


Then, committee discussed to guidelines to follow regarding the issues submit to the committee for review other than issues mentioned in the article 151 (a) of standing order Peoples Majlis. North Thinadhoo constituency member Saudhullah Hilmy proposed this to lay down the procedures followed even in the 19th Majlis, and Kudahuvadhoo constituency member Hussain Hameed seconded. Last issue on the agenda was regarding the annual reports sent from related institutions. Committee decided to share the reports with Audit Office for their comments, and then further discuss the reports. This was proposed by North Thinadhoo constituency member Saudhulla Hilmy and seconded by Vilingili Constituency Member Azim Abdul Azeez. The voting details are on “Votes” section of this page.
