Summary
The Agenda for today’s Meeting is to elect the Chairperson and the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee with reference to the member allocation for the permanent committees decided in the 2nd sitting of the 20th Majlis. Director, Aishath Fazla carried out the election procedure.
During the name submission for the Committee Chairperson position, one name was proposed. That is to elect Member for Nilandhoo Constituency, Fathimath Sauda as the committee chairperson. Member for South Kulhudhuffushi Constituency, Faruhath Mohamed proposed and Member for Kudahuvadhoo Constituency, Hussain Hameed seconded the proposal. Next, with the Chairperson’s request, the committee secretariat shared with the committee the issues that has been carried forward to the 20th Majlis. This includes the Legacy Report that was passed to the 20th Majlis. The Committee decided to discuss more on the forwarded issues and to decide on a work plan for the committee.
