In today's meeting, the committee discussed regarding the issue of suggesting the President to dismiss the Governor of Maldives Monetary Authority, Mr.Ali Hashim. Since, the Governor was unable to attend today's meeting as per the request of the committee, the Chair proposed to give the Governor another chance to attend the next meeting of the committee.

The committee discussed the requests received from Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to extend the deadlines given to submit comments for the Bills. The committee decided to extend the deadline to submit comments regarding Sovereign Development Fund Bill, State Debt Bill and Fiscal Responsibility Bill to 31st July 2024 and the deadline to complete these Bill as 07th August 2024.

Furthermore, the committee discussed a letter received from ADK Hospitals requesting for a meeting with the committee regarding the pending payments for the services provided under Aasandha and National Social Protection Agency's scheme to the public. Baarashu Constituency member Ibrahim Shujau proposed to obtain information from Aasandha and National Social Protection Agency before sitting with ADK regarding the issue. Hithadhoo Constituency member Ahmed Azaan Marzooq seconded this proposal. Vote Details are mentioned below.

In addition to this, Dhiggaru Constituency member Ahmed Nazim proposed to do a timeline research for the information received from the meeting of State Owned Enterprises Committee conducted with Anti-Corruption Commission, which is that soon after the former members of Anti-Corruption Commission suggested to dismissal of former Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation Limited, 5 members of Anti-Corruption Commission were dismissed from their post. Eydhafushi Constituency member Ahmed Saleem seconded this proposal. Vote Details are mentioned below.

Following this, the committee also decided to request Auditor General's Office to send in written the challenges they highlighted in the presentation given to the committee meeting held on 15th July 2024, for the committee to take any probable actions regarding the issues.
