Committee Meeting - People's Majlis of Maldives

Summary

In today’s meeting the committee met with the officials of Maldives Correctional Service, Department of Juvenile Justice, and Family and Child Protection Department, Maldives Police Service.

The committee was briefed on the works carried out by the institutions.

In addition, Maldives Correctional Service gave a presentation on their work in which they highlighted areas in which they should further develop their work, and the challenges faced by the institution in carrying out their responsibilities.

They also shared information about their current efforts and the challenges faced in implementing the roles and responsibilities under their mandate.
