The committee met with Children’s Ombudsperson Ms. Niumath Shafeeq to discuss their 2022 and 2023 Annual reports.

In this meeting the Ombudsperson shared a presentation on their 2022 and 2023 annual reports. In this presentation she shared information about their works in the last two years, details of their expenditures from the 2022 and 2023 budget, their efforts to further develop and strengthen their work and challenges faced in implementing it.

The Ombudsperson also answered members’ questions on their work, challenges faced in carrying out the responsibilities in their mandate, their efforts to increase public awareness and trust towards the Ombudsperson’s Office.
