The CEO of Family Protection Authority (FPA) shared a PowerPoint presentation on their 2022 and 2023 Annual reports.
She presented information about their works in the last two years, details of their expenditure from the 2022 and 2023 budget, their efforts to further develop and strengthen their work and the challenges faced in its implementation.
The officials of FPA also responded to members’ questions on their work, challenges faced in carrying out the responsibilities within their mandate, their efforts to increase public awareness and trust towards the Authority.
After the meeting with FPA, the committee members discussed on the importance and the need to identify the mandate contradictions within the institutions under the committees’ mandate and to identify the challenges of inter-agency coordination between those institutions. Kudahuvadhoo Constituency Member Hussain Hameed proposed the committee to take the initiative to identify the contradictions in the mandates of the institutions within the scope of the committee's work, and to identify the challenges of inter-agency coordination in performing their functions. This proposal was seconded by Vaikaradhoo Constituency Member Hussain Ziyad.
The members present in the committee unanimously voted to identify the contradictions in the mandates of the institutions under the committee's mandate, and to identify the challenges of inter-agency coordination in performing their functions.
