Summary
In today’s meeting, the committee discussed the matter sent to committee regarding the motion on appointment of Prosecutor general in accordance with article 3(b) of Act No. 9/2008 (Prosecutor General Act).
Regarding this issue, committee decided to open for any public complaint (under article 223 (b) of Standing order of 20th Majlis) regarding the person referred by the president for the appointment of Prosecutor General. Holhudhoo Constituency Member AbdulSattar Mohamed proposed to open for public complaint until 16th September 2024, 12pm. This proposal was seconded by North Feydhoo Constituency Member Ismail Nizaar.
This proposal was unanimously passed.
