Summary
In today's meeting, the committee reviewed the issue sent by the President on the matter of the appointment of Ms. Aishath Azeema as ambassador to the Republic of India, in accordance with Article 115(d) of the Constitution and Article 14 of Act No. 20/2021 (The Maldives Foreign Services Act). South Maafannu Constituency Member Abdulla Rifau proposed to appoint Ms. Aishath Azeema as the ambassador to the Republic of India. It was seconded by Kendhikulhudhoo Constituency Member Mohamed Afoo Hamid. The proposal was passed unanimously.
