Summary
In today’s meeting the committee sat with officials from the Ministry of Finance to clarify the reasonings for the proposed forecasted supplementary budget for the ongoing year 2024, along with officials from Auditor General’s Office to present the office’s professional opinion on the matter.
Following the meeting, the committee reviewed the supplementary budget for the year 2024. Maamigili Constituency member Qasim Ibrahim proposed to pass the supplementary budget of MVR 5,119,508,129 (Five Billion one Hundred and Nineteen Million Five Hundred and Eight Thousand One Hundred and Twenty-Nine) as proposed by the Ministry of Finance. This proposal was seconded by Velidhoo Constituency member Mohamed Abbas and passed unanimously by the members participated in the vote.
