Summary
Today the committee reviewed the approval requests from the president for the appointed ministers to the cabinet on 30th September 2023, as per article 129 (a) of the constitution. Once the Chairman opened the floor for members, Central Fuvahmulah Constituency Member Ali Fazaad proposed to approve the 3 ministers appointed by the president as the requirements stated in article 130 of the constitution “qualification of Ministers” were fulfilled and none of the cabinet ministers has violated any of the “Restrictions” stated in article 136 of the constitution. And it was seconded by West Henveyru Constituency Member Ali Ibrahim.
Then, the members present in the meeting unanimously passed the proposal to give approval for the 3 ministers appointed by the president on 30th September 2024.
