Summary
In today's meeting, the committee reviewed the issue sent by the President on the matter of the appointment of Mr. Ahmed Sareer as ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in accordance with Article 115(d) of the Constitution and Article 14 of Act No. 20/2021 (The Maldives Foreign Services Act). Hinnavaru Constituency Member Mohamed Abdul Rahman proposed to appoint Mr. Ahmed Sareer as the ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was seconded by North Mahchangolhi Constituency Member Ibrahim Muhammad. The proposal was passed unanimously.
