In today’s meeting the committee reviewed the issue sent to allocate times for members of parliament during the debate of the proposed budget for the year 2025 and during the debate of the Budget Committee report, and to allocate time for Minister of Finance to respond with the questions asked by the parliament members during the debate of the proposed budget for the year 2025. Henceforth, South Feydhoo constituency member Ibrahim Didi proposed to give 15 minutes of time for each member during the debate of the proposed budget and to give 7 minutes of time during the debate of the Budget Committee report, as well to give total of 45 minutes to Minister of Finance to respond with the questions asked by the parliament members during the debate of the proposed budget, as convenient to the Speaker of People’s Majlis, according to the section 235 (b) of the Standing Order of the People’s Majlis. This was seconded by Isdhoo constituency member Ismail Shafeeu and was passed unanimously.
