In today's meeting, the committee reviewed the following issues sent to the committee on the 5^th sitting of the 2025 1^st session of the Parliament held on February 17, 2025.

• The issue sent by the President on the matter of appointment of the ambassador to Malaysia Dr. Mariyam Shabeena Ahmed, M.Ruhfushi, as the non-resident ambassador to Brunei Darussalam.
• The issue sent by the President on the matter of appointment of the ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium Ms. Geela Ali, M. Geela villa as the non-resident ambassador to Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of Netherlands.
• The issue sent by the President on the matter of appointment of the ambassador to the United Kingdom Ms. Iruthisham Adam, H.Orchid as the non-resident ambassador to France.
• The issue sent by the President on the matter of appointment of the ambassador to the Republic of Singapore Mr. Mohamed Luveiz as the non-resident ambassador to Australia.

South Maafannu Constituency member Abdulla Rifau proposed to neither check the records nor to interview the appointees, as all the appointees are already appointed for different positions as ambassadors; henceforth, their records were checked previously and were also interviewed previously by the committee. And he proposed to set a deadline of February 20, 2025, for the completion of reviewing the issues sent by the President regarding the appointment of non-resident ambassadors. It was seconded by South Fuvahmulah Constituency member Ibrahim Hussain. The proposal was passed unanimously.
