A parliamentary delegation led by Hon. President Mohamed Nasheed, MP, Speaker of the People’s Majlis, has departed to Malta tonight on an official visit.

Speaker of the People’s Majlis is travelling to Malta from 3-4 March 2022 to attend the 2nd Edition of the World Forum for Culture of Peace organized by the Abdulaziz Saud Al-babtain Cultural Foundation.

Hon. Speaker is invited to participate in the forum as a guest speaker where he will be delivering a speech on “The Role of Parliamentarians and Civil Society Organizations” during the 3rd session of the Forum to be held on 4th March 2022.

Honorable Speaker will also be meeting with Maltese officials during this visit. The Forum is aimed at exploring and setting up institutional mechanisms, educational programs, tools and actions plans for the development of leadership competences to achieve the goal of ‘Just Peace’ and enduring stability of relations between people.

In addition to the Honorable Speaker, Presidents of Malta, Albania, Kosovo and President of EU Parliament, are schedule to address the Forum.
