CSO and Media Handbook

The CSO and Media Handbook on the People’s Majlis has been developed to support greater public understanding of the role, responsibilities, and work of the People’s Majlis.

Recognizing the important role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and media in promoting public awareness and civic participation, this handbook provides information on parliamentary processes and the ways in which CSOs, media, and members of the public can engage with the Majlis.

The handbook covers key areas including the constitutional role and responsibilities of the People’s Majlis, the legislative process, and opportunities for CSO and media engagement in parliamentary work.

These handbooks were developed through a consultancy financed by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD Maldives).
