Summary

Based on Ministry of Tourism’s presentation on their 2020’s annual report and Maldives Customs Services’ presentation on their 2019’s annual report committee decided that both institutions had achieved key performance indicators set for both institutions performed fairly well and adopt recommendations given by Auditor General’s office for both institutions. Two other matters were proposed in the meeting; 1. North Thinadhoo constituency Member Abdul Mughnee proposed to meet MIFCO, STO and FSM regarding oil price rate of MIFCO being higher than the other parties in the market and difficulties faced by Fishermen due to higher oil prices by MIFCO. 2. South Hithadhoo constituency Ibrahim Nazil proposed to meet Minister of Economic Development and selective employment related companies regarding the new Xpat System, changes in expatriate employment regulations, changes to the issuance of work quota and difficulties faced by the companies due to changes brought by the ministry.
