Summary

In Today’s meeting, the committee decided to acquire more information from relevant authorities regarding the motion submitted parliament member for Hoarafushi constituency Ahmed Saleem, on the difficulties faced by operators of cafés and restaurants due to restrictions imposed about Covid-19. The Committee extend the deadline of National chamber Commerce and Industry bill from 31 March 2021 to 31 June 2021. The Committee took the following decision regarding individual issues submitted. 1. The committee decided to gather information from One and Only Reethi rah resort, Employment Tribunal and Ministry of Tourism regarding recruitment of 200 expatriates worker after dismissal of local employees due to covid-19 pandemic. 2. The committee decided to gather information from Maldives Tourism Development Corporation and Ministry of Tourism regarding request of 3A International Private Limited to offer a chance to develop Hdh.Naagakoshi again.
