In this meeting, the Committee further discussed the issue of the violent events instigated by migrant laborers in Maldives and decided to attain further information from relevant authorities. Afterwards, the Committee reviewed the Committee Report on the Amendment to the Immigration Act, which was sent back to the Committee from the parliament for further review.
