In this meeting the Committee decided to request the relevant authorities to send their comments on the Amendment to the Immigration Act before 28th October 2020. The Committee also reviewed the bill in this meeting. And the Committee decided to request the relevant authorities to inform the Committee of the actions taken in compliance with the Committee report on the Issue of undocumented foreign workers living in the country illegally. Furthermore, the Committee decided to meet with Ministry of Defence, NCTC, Ministry of Home Affairs and Maldives Police Service on 2 November 2020 regarding the Attempted Robbery in front of Bank of Ceylon on 25th October 2020.
