In today's meeting, the Sub Committee discussed the Resolution calling to prevent the long-term unlawful practices of telecom operators for their benefits by foregoing public interests. The Sub Committee decided to send a letter to the Communications Authority of Maldives to clarify: reasons for not stipulating the amount of fees and rules for collecting fees in the Rules of Procedure of the Communications Authority of Maldives (regulation number: R035/2021); and the estimated duration for amending the Rules of Procedure to stipulate the amount of fees and rules for collecting fees, in accordance with section 33 of the Communications Authority of Maldives Act (law number: 42/2015). The Sub Committee also unanimously voted for a motion proposed by MP for Kurendhoo Constituency Abdul Ghanee Abdul Hakeem and seconded by MP for Holhudhoo Constituency Yoonus Ali to extend the deadline sto finish its works until 07 July 2021.
