In today's meeting, members discussed the issue that Hulhumale' Planning and Construction Regulation has not yet been published in gazette, even though the amended regulation has been sent by the committee to the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. In this regard, the committee decided to send a letter to the President's Office to clarify the reasons for the delay in publishing the regulation. Then committee decided to obtain information from Addu City Council regarding the issue submitted regarding granting permits for construction in Addu City. As a further matter, MP Mohamed Nihad proposed to investigate the fact that plants and animals cannot be imported to other international airports in the Maldives except Velana International Airport. The committee decided to meet with the Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture and Maldives Customs Service to inquire about the policies being followed in this matter.
