In this meeting, the Committee discussed the Issue sent by the Speaker requesting to analyze issues in the Drugs Act and the use and trafficking of drugs in the Maldives. Proposal by MP for Madaveli Constituency Hussain Firushan, seconded by MP for Hinnavaru Constituency Jeehan Mahmood to conduct an inquiry in relation to the Issue was passed unanimously. The Committee also discussed the Bill on Amendment to Maldives Sports Act, and decided to hold further discussions following an analysis of the comments received to the Bill from sports associations.
