Firstly, in this meeting the Committee elected a Chair and a Vice Chair for the Committee. The Committee elected MP Imthiyaz Fahmy as the Chair and MP Mohamed Mumthaz as the Vice Chair. Secondly, the Committee decided to invite MP Mohamed Shifau (member from Parliament who sits as a Member of the Clemency Board) to join committee meetings. And the Committee also decided to acquire information regarding the meetings held and the attendance of the meetings of both Clemency Board and Parole Board. Furthermore, Committee decided to acquire information regarding the persons whose passports had been withheld because of a judgement passed by the Court in their absence from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
