The Committee's actions in relation to the case submitted by President of Maldives National Party (MNP), MP Mohamed Nazim were shared with the attention of the members. The issue on “Progress of investigation on May 06 Attack” was marked completed as the committee met with the Maldives Police Service and the Prosecutor General on May 30, 2022 to review the progress. The Committee decided to inquire about the Issue on the Regulations regarding the Police service act from the relevant authorities. The Committee decided to inquire from the relevant authorities regarding the reasons behind the security breach at the time of yoga day activities and if action is taken within the police in such a way that such incidents do not recur in the future. The Committee decided to inquire from the relevant authorities, the 7 issues highlighted in the unrest that took place during yoga day activities.
