In today’s meeting the committee reviewed the issue submitted by a whistleblower regarding the misappropriation of Waste Management Corporation funds. As the committee is reviewing the company’s internal audit report, the committee decided to review this case along with the internal audit reports of the company. Then, the committee reviewed the issue submitted by member of parliament for Central Fuvahmulah constituency honorable Hussain Mohamed Didi regarding difficulties in traveling to Fuvahmulah. The committee decided to inform the member regarding the situation along with the information received to committee regarding the matter. Lastly, the committee reviewed the letter submitted by member of parliament for Mulaku constituency honorable Ibrahim Naseer regarding a foreign transaction of a private company not being deposited to their Bank of Maldives account. It was informed to the committee by the bank, that they have not received any foreign transaction that needs to be deposited to the claimed company, hence the company decided to inform the member as mentioned by the Bank.
